Taylor's Valley Baptist Church in Temple, Texas, is seeking a Modern Worship Leader to launch and lead our new modern worship service. It's a rare opportunity to build something from the beginning in a church that is growing and ready for it.

For 130 years, Taylor's Valley has proclaimed Christ in Central Texas. Today we are a growing, multigenerational, missions-minded church of about 450 on Sundays, and a church that feels like home. We exist to show the world the Way, the Truth, and the Life of Jesus, making followers who Gather to Worship, Grow in Community, Give for the Kingdom, and Go to the World.
We're investing in the future through a comprehensive building campaign that includes a new children's building, a new youth building, and expanded education and fellowship space. Our next Youth Minister will help shape a ministry space built for students.
The Role
Reporting to the Senior Pastor, the Modern Worship Leader will:
Plan and lead the 11:00 modern worship service each Sunday
Build the service with the Senior Pastor so music and message work together
Recruit, develop, and lead musicians and vocalists
Lead rehearsals and manage scheduling and sets in Planning Center
Qualifications
We're Looking For Someone Who Has:
A growing relationship with Christ and a heart for leading others in worship
Proficiency on guitar and the ability to lead a band from the guitar
Experience with Planning Center
The ability to build a team, not just perform with one.
Employment Structure
This is a contract position.
